The Cosmic Academy - Music Production Education Nirvana
When most people call up their friend and say "Hey I want to start upa music academy," the response might be encouraging, but likely wouldsoon fade away.
However, when one of those friends is Cosmic Opera founder JustinCohen this dream not only will become a reality, but an extremelyimpressive one. At the other end of this call was Justin's good friend Bo Peric, 1/2 of International DJ/Production team Filo and Peri, whowas quickly tapped to be the academy's dean.
With a capacity of 24 students, for one month of intensive studies, the Cosmic Academy has started only its third incarnation and isalready showing major success. Most impressive to me was that their student Klaud, won an Ultra Music Festival competition, and performed a set that has much of the EDM world already talking about hispotential. Electronic Night Life got a chance to catch up with Marco Bailey shortly after his debut at Cielo in New York City's meatpacking district. He has also just released a brand new twelve track artist album along with thirteenth digital bonus track. Next to producing, Marco Bailey is also an avid touring DJ. Once again, his never ending tour schedule took him everywhere around the globe in 2012. He rocked Nature One Germany; killed it at Space Ibiza together with Carl Cox for 8000 people; and destroyed the Carl Cox stage at Belgium's massive Tomorrowland event. In the Far East Marco is as popular as ever. Rocking Ageho nightclub Tokyo where his fans always pack the place and dance until the wee hours. The agenda for 2013 look sno different with tours through the USA and South America to start with. Click HERE to read more...
Interview with John 00 Fleming
Good day, Mr. J00F. We're celebrating the upcoming release of your new album "One.hundred.ten WKO" here at ENL, and I must say, we sure are excited about it. The album is just a couple months out, and it seems the underground trance scene is buzzing with anticipation. What can fans expect from your new album in comparison with your 2011 release, Nine Lives?
Nines Lives was an album that I promised my patient fans for over a decade, this new album is one that I've promised myself for many years. I've always been a DJ first--that's the reason why I've released more mix compilations than singles in my career. I've been producing for 18 years and now feel at the stage where the production side of me is going to flourish, so this is showing the grown up side of me. Click HERE to read more...
